Some days have passed after the disappearance of Jens, one of the most curious children of the little towns surrounding Baldur's Gate, Yrsir. He has been told many times not to enter the forest. However, playing hide and seek in the forest, he went to the forest and never returned. The fishers and the paesants of Yrsir say that he has been eaten by the Witch, a wicked and fiendish creature living in the forest. Legends say that she eats children and young people to steal their youth.
To the fishers it doesn't make sense to go and search for him in the forest, he's probably dead. Furthermore, they're superstitious, and even if most of them don't fear too much to have their youth stolen (many are adult people, on which it seems her curse can't hit), they fear her evil servants.

But you're here, at Jens' mother's house. The lady, whose name is Ariel, is crying in front of you.
"P-please...rescue him! I feel he's still alive! I had a dream last night, and it seemed so real to me...The Witch...she's waiting for something. She foresaw her death..."
Ariel sobs, and his husband Marc approches you and shows a some gems.
"These are commercial gems from Baldur's Gate. They re worth about six thousand gold pieces all together, and once belonged to my father. They'll be your's if you can tell us something about Jens, find him, rescue him even if...dead."
"HE WON'T DIE! SHUT THE FUCK UP!" screams Ariel.
"Calm down, Ariel. Let's face the truth. You might be wrong..."
"Alright..."

Marc approches you and asks: "What are you going to do?"

Let's see... one thousand five hundred gold pieces are not bad... they could be very useful...
Well, I hope this men are honest and would divide correctly the treasure... they could be... a short-life and two half-blooded, not the best team, but luckly no dwarves or orcs, for exemple...
But now, better to think a minute about this tragedy... obviously, money are not all, there isn't price to crime like this... but, in this village, where is justice? Isn't there a sheriff, a team of soldiers, or somebody that could have prevented this fact? It sounds impossible! In Silverymoon, every road have almost one or two warriors to protect the citizens... but unfortunately, here we aren't in Lady Alustriel's land, we are in a small, bad, old, human little town, near to a bigger one, but not better!


Anthomalos remains in silence, letting someone else speaking, prefering thinking a possible solution of the problem

I will live nearly two hundred years ,does not import me of the money, they're only for the humans from the short life and to the dwarves too much starved of wealth.
Poor child, goodness knows what's happened...

So the cleric become thinking to a solution of this problem.

Damien listened to the story of Ariel: there was one of the Trotter Tom legends about a witch in the wood!

Well, that's great! A REAL witch! Like the one Trotter met in Kandulas Wood!!

I speak only for myself, but you can count on me. I can't even imagine your pain, but there's one thing I want to say: a mother always knows if his son is dead or alive. So, Ms Ariel, you will soon embrace again Jens. Mark my words: will rescue him!

Then, Damien turns on the other, various adventurers and said: Don't let me alone in this mission! I need every help you can give!

interesting.. it's a big treasure! I will be able to give part of money to my mother! She will be rich for all her life!

The reward isn't bad; I think..... Yes, I accept. I will return here with the children. I hope your son is still alive, really! Andak try to shake hands with the parents.

Then Andak go to Damien You aren't alone, I'm with you.

Ariel answers Damien. "That's kind for you to say, man. No one in the village trusts my words. They only think that I'm confused by pain, but that's not it. I have the Sight, even if I'm not a spellcaster." Ariel's head turned to Anthomalos the wizard, probably because like the other one on his left (Hivon) he didn't seem to belive her.

Sorcerers... without investing time in study, they reached the same spells of ours! It has no sense! Better not to say it, I think...

Sometimes the gods or the fortune give divination power even to people that didn't study magic. Someone would say that in your body there is draconic blood... I'm not so sure, but, for now, I can't know.
Apart from this, says Anthomalos to Damien You have my spells!

Damien smiled at Andak and Anthomalos: Thank you very much! We'll save Jens, kill the Witch and become heroes!!

Then turned to Hivon and said : Will you come with us?? Will you help this poor mother?? His eyes were begging him!
